problems with saving gamepad settings

hello,
i am having an xbox controller. and for some unknown reason, when i am changing settings for attacking mode and then trying to change settings in defence mode, it restores shoulder buttons in attacking mode to default ones having other ones changed. and vice versa, if i had changed buttons in the defence mode (including regular + shoulder buttons) and then am switching to attacking mode and making changes there, it restores shoulder buttons in defence mode to defaults.
for some reason i can change the shoulder buttons actions only in the active gamepad settings page :)
any suggestions?|||maybe somebody know how to set up gamepad settings from outside the game? manually?|||Is your Xbox 360 controller an official microsoft 360 controller for windows? Check at the back of your gamepad to see if there's a microsoft sticker.
Try updating latest drivers from windows update for your controller.
Unless the Xbox 360 controller is not an official controller then you may have problems. Since it would still be considered as an unofficial gamepad that isn't officially supported.|||thanks for the reply. will try with drivers, dunno whether there are any. but yes, it is an official one
