watch the penalties in the end and you will see there is no 3d grass|||I think there is an option to turn it off and on?|||
Maybe the one who plays has his 3d grass turned off or it's because of the old build. I am far from thinking that FIFA 11 PC will have worse 3d grass than FIFA 10 PC|||3D Grass chould be seen when needed. When you play from far, there is no need if you have a good texture. It's in replays and when zooming in when you need to see it. And in Real Madrid Vs. Barça, I saw 3D grass in the replay. I think and believe that we will have good graphics, even customizable.|||

this|||A HD Grass mod will make this possible. That's the best thing about PC over console, A LOTof modifications will find their way to the game. :)

Yeah as said in Subject title, says not responding in task manager its where you select ne Manager Mode OPtion in menus.

Thanks in advance cause search forum option revealed nothing similar|||Edit: Tournament Mode loads up and works fine, Manager MOde is only mode completely not loading up cannot participate in manager mode no two ways about it. :)

FAO: Jarvis - Thoughts from a former PES fan

As far as the game itself and the football simulation goes, I think you've nailed it. You've basically recreated the game without getting bogged down in unnecessary details and come up with a game that looks good, works online (wow!) and overall is fun to play.
If you were looking for suggestions for future editions, a couple of ideas would be:
1. More customisable formations. I think the custom tactics works very well but I would quite like to be able to position my defensive sweeper or decide to have an uneven 4-3-3 as I choose.
2. The online is fantastic and having player stats available on the website is a stroke of genius. However, if you could work in similar tournaments as they do on PES, that would be the ultimate.
That aside, as a PC user, no major complaints. Good year ahead and looking forward to FIFA 12!

How is manager mode & Be a pro mode

Hello,
I've scanned through some of these threads; but havent found anything too recent. I am thinking of buying the game, but am not too sure yet. I wont be playing online and will pretty much be playing around with the manager mode and be a pro mode. I bought the Fifa09 version and was relatively happy, but havent touched it in ages.
Have there been major improvements? How are they overall would you say?
Thanks in advance!|||I am currently enjoying Manager mode, it is awesome, the player growth, transferring the players and upgrading fitness, negotiating etc, and at the end of a season getting offers from other teams round the world :)
However with Be a pro personally im not too keen on it, I played a few matches on it but then got bored.
What is good about FIFA this year though is that Compared to FIFA 09, this FIFA is the next gen one, so FIFA 11 PC, is FIFA 10 Console, meaning better graphics, better animations and the way the players move etc.|||Thanks for the response Alex, much appreciated. It would be nice if there was a demo to check out. Otherwise I might wait on a sale. I am tempted to be honest, but i am also patient. :)

Has manager mode changed much from the Fifa 09? Is it still limited to 15 seasons? Are team improvements still based on accumulated wealth (i think that was it). Or has there been anything new added, or has it been generally improved? How far down do the leagues go? For england, is it down to League 2? How does scouting and developing new players work? Is it easy to sell and loan any out?

Well, I didn't play FIFA 09 so I can't say how it compared to that, however I am pretty sure there are only 15 seasons, by team if you mean the club like, fitness, negotiations, the stadium etc, then you use the money you get to pay to upgrade them, for England it does go down to League 2, scouting is pretty good, send a scout out to for example Europe in search for a Striker, and they will keep finding players for you and you can offer to buy them or not. It is easy to sell, buy and loan players, the main thing you need to be careful when doing that, is the amount of weekly wage you have, you don't wanna give too much away to just one player, and one bug on the game at the moment is if you add them to your shortlist, and then try to buy them, they won't accept the offer, so, basically the shortlist is pretty useless.|||thanks alex, will keep that in mind. Yeah meant club when i said team (american here).

Online mode fifa 11 >first impressions (request)

To the lucky ones out there, some questions from someone who is counting the hours...
1) How is the online mode;
2) Is it possible to play every mode from 5 x 5 (2 x 2, 3 x 2, etc)?
3) Is there an seperate league for the manual controlled players?
4) And last but not least, is the alt-tab quitters 'mode' gone?

I get no comentaar at the games, but the sound pleases and publicly I hear, however. Also I get as soon as I play a game online or not online flickered the picture what and the game goes very fast. At institutions gebrobeerd what to change but nothing helps. players go gestrest by the field, look themselves do of it very.

CHEATERS

Ok so i played four games today on head to head, two of those were cheaters. It seems that the higher my ranking gets, the more cheaters i meet.
So today i encountered a cheater who stopped playing in the middle of the game. I tried to play scored a goal, then a message came up: ' you have been removed from the session, as you were not controlling your player'. Seriously wtf is it, it is like the third time it has happened, and i got the loss.

And i was winning:

It just ruins all my progress that i have made, and i want to get to the top 100.
On my player hub there are some 'nice' people that i want you to take a look at, so then you wouldn't have to play them since they are so 'nice'.
|||Well guess what.
I played one match normally, and now i have come up against another cheater, im now stuck on the timer screen from the main menu at half time. This is an outrage.
I beg you ea, just fix it. I will stop playing online if there isnt another patch to fix this.|||You sure that they are cheating because I haven't had this happen once.|||By cheating i mean that they are not moving at all, and waiting so then the timer cheat at the end would work. Every time a guy doesn't move i know that he is trying to do the timer cheat on me. Its just when this happens i am puzzled, since i don't know how it happened.|||I don't know if that's because of cheaters. Had the same thing happen to me a couple of times but it just popped up even when I was just defending or something so the opponent was indeed playing..|||

I often play someone where my team Chelsea, Drogba gets a clever thrupass from Lampard and is 1-1 with the goalie. He sets up for the shot and whack, the ball is a weak roller 10 meters off the side post. This goal chance doesn't get any easier and he misses by YARDS! I expect a good pass to deliver a decent chance at a goal yet this shot was as ugly as it gets. Frustrating as it may be, I go on and get a second chance at an incredibly easy goal. But the same thing happens, an miserable looking shot that goes almost to the corner post. And this doess not happen on every game either, most of the time when I play high ranked players. is this a cheat cuz if this is how EA made the game I will uninstall it right away.
Another time is when my player would get control of a ball and instantly would lose the ball off his shinpad or something. Its like the ball gets away from him, instead of Deco or Malouda handling the ball its a 3rd grader with rubber feet.
Is this cheating or a bug, again this only happens 1 out of 4 matches but it is nevertheless very frustrating.|||I guess you'll have to uninstall it then... mistakes are part of the game, that's first. Second, the way you prepared the shot (finesse shot or not, directing it with left stick, power etc.) has HUGE impact on the outcome of the shot. i forget to add that I was ranked in the top 100 in FIFA10. Look up my name wiki000 in the rankings if you still have fifa10. With FIFA10, I dominated everyone. It got to a point where I was so bored I would do some amazing tricks and score. No one else could come close to my tricks based on how I played vs. them. Now with FIFA11 I cannot get past level 3 for the life of me and the opponents especially high level players above level 15 seem to have a much stronger team, they would steal the ball and Anelka would go stumbling to the ground like tumbleweed. I cannot get ANY offense going. This is coming from a guy who has enough experience to know if it is the skill or the team thats makes the player.|||Mistakes made players are made by ea sports to suit them not any1else if ea dont rate your fav team you cant improve them even if u are great at fifa no experience goes to your tem when u do well only u are put at a dissadvange for winning|||I think that you realy have lern how to finish wiki.It's imposible not to score i an 1 on 1 with the keeper with Drogba.Even I'm not a fan of Chelsea I've played with them and Drogbe has a perfect finishing so I think the problem's with you m8.|||yea it was my problem, i've seen it happen to a couple of my opponents too. I encountered many "bugs" that froze my players, had balls bounce like a pinball machine off players then ended up as a goal for the other team. I take everything now with a grain of salt. DVD key is incorrect

I bought the boxed game from the Game store. Installed it and it wouldn't play.
It advised me to uninstall and then reinstall again, which I tried.
The problem is that it keeps telling me that the serial number key i have entered from the back of the manual is wrong. Just to satisfy my curiosity, I tried installing the game on my laptop and another PC, all with more than enough spec and everytime tells me that the serial number key is incorrect. I have asked other family members and friends to enter the code but it always comes up as a "wrong code" I can get no further than the enter serial number box.
I have also tried disabling the firewalls and virus programmes. It's all very baffling. Having read through some of the other threads it appears that the fault is common and is nothing to do with my pc's/laptop.
If anyone has any ideas that may help, then please speak up!|||Contact EA support..

LAN PortForwarding

Hello, everyone. I was just wondering, what ports are needed to be forwarded so I can host a lobby game over LAN? My friend is able to see the game, but unable to connect which is obviously a port conflict. I've tried using the netstats -ao command, but there are too many ports shifting for the same PID.

There is port information contained in the readme file that came with the game. However, if you are on the same LAN, one should easily be able to Host a room and the other can then Join. If there is an error message that they are seeing when trying to connect, feel free to share.

HTTPS 443 TCP/IP
Roomsvr 30440-30449 TCP/IP

The following UDP ports must be opened for game packets, for the outbound and inbound connections:
Peer Game Connection 3659 UDP
Game Packets 3658 UDP
News Ticker 9000-9999 UDP
Online Team Play 9000-9999 UDP

Update: None of the ports listed seem to work for Hamachi LAN.|||Sorry for double posting, but has anyone managed to get FIFA 11 working with Hamachi? It always displays "Connection lost" when my friend tries to connect to the host (me). All firewalls and nicknacks have been disabled.
